For more than five years the space has welcomed many artists, children, teenagers, amateurs and professionals, offering residencies and a diverse range of projects and training programs contributing to its relevance.
We were proud to have them with us!
The Company created three pieces here: Penthésilées, Dentro and Blow The Bloody Doors Off! and revived two repertory works, Solides and Stances II. Jour et Nuit also was begun here.
A Studio, an essential resource for dance – disappears: this represents the failure of certain thinking, a vision for cultural policy; what is left for art and culture in the city, the urban environment? Cities, metropolitan areas and the départements are deciding this.
Access to art happens in these spaces, uniquely qualified in humanistic terms, creating balance and a link to the theatres, which still intimidate certain audiences and sectors of the community.
Let us work together toward political cohesion in the regions.
We are looking to enhance
the strength of creation in general,
all forms of dance, for everyone,
access to practice and to encountering the artists.
We thank the city of Vannes, the Théâtre Anne de Bretagne – they have supported and sustained the Studio for six years, invested in its renovation. We thank the Metropolitan area and the Departmental Council for its accompaniment of the Company in its work and expansion in the area.
We thank the DRAC and the Regional Council of Brittany who have defended the project from the beginning and continue to do so!
We’re moving! Stay in touch; the office and headquarters of the company will be staying in Vannes.
